A Sweet Trip To Kolkata

Kolkata was initially known as Calcutta. Kolkata is said to be a CITY OF JOY, but the perfectly this city can be sentenced as HEART OF BENGAL. It is the first metro Politian city of the country and is the only place where tram of British period still enshrines. Kolkata has the smell historic freedom of INDIA, it has blessings of goddess KALI, HOOGLY river flows with a smoothness giving a magical dusk time, artificial fun castles, malls and market place makes this city alive. Kolkata’s rich heritage never fails to attract tourists and local people, the culture of this place is evergreen that cannot be replaced. KOLKATA is not just a city, it is an emotion. This place lives in the heart of people.

This place is connected to main three districts of Bengal and every part of Kolkata is special as every street has a story, each building speaks history, each monument writes about its heritage and culture. Some places of Kolkata are –

1.       PRINCEP GHAT – it is one the major tourist attraction because the ghat is near VIDYA SAGAR SETU which is a bridge. VIDYA SAGAR SETU is also known as the SECOND HOOGLY BRIDGE. Though the design is totally different but the engineering done is same. PRINCEP ghat is built on the memory of a british scholar JAMES PRINCEP. The perfect time to visit the ghat is dusk time. The cold wind of river HOOGLY charms the place. The lights of bridge add stars to the place. The hypnotizing ambience attract tourists. It is one of the best hangout place with no negativity in and around. PRINCEP GHAT is in the main Kolkata city. One can travel with public vehicles and cabs.

2.       DAKHINESHWAR TEMPLE – KOLKATA is blessed with goddess KALI. Travelers can enjoy DAKHINESHWAR trip by taking lounge from BELUR MATH situated in west river bank, HOOGLY district. BELUR MATH is also a religious place of RAMAKRISHNA PARAMHANS, founded by  SWAMI VIVEKANANDA. The temple has a very silence, meditative and relaxing ambience. It costs 10rs in lounge from BELUR MATH lounge station to reach DAKHINESHWAR TEMPLE. The temple has a mythological history and the idol is said to be very pure for granting wishes. DAKHINESHWAR TEMPLE has a big marble platform for walking. They have museums, library, gallery in the premises. Outerside of temple has a big walking platform, arrangements to sit and rest, library, a HOOGLY river ghat near BALI BRIDGE. Tourists can visit ADYAPITH TEMPLE which is also RAMKRISHNA KALI mandir. It is in the main city so one can book e-rikshaw and plan for this religious place.

3.       M.P. BIRLA PLANETARIUM – The name itself speaks that the place is connected to celestial bodies, galaxy, stars, planets. People who are interested in astronomy, science and arts as well can enjoy this place. Also known as TARAMANDAL, Birla planetarium’s location is: 96, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Chowringhee Road, Adjacent to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kolkata, West Bengal. It is largest planetarium in INDIA and second largest planetarium in ASIA till date. BIRLA PLANETARUIM has electronics laboratory for designing equipment required for practical research, it has gallery with famous paintings and models of renowned astronomers. Planetarium has well designed telescope with powerful professional lenses, more observatory equipment which offers public and students to complete their researches, complete their projects and many more.  

4.       SCIENCE CITY – Science city is very interesting place for public because whatever you see inside it, all have some science in it. They have rides, ropeways, parks, galleries, geography center, science exploration hall. Galleries include illusions, aquarium, live butterfly enclaves, science on a sphere, earth exploration hall where there is a 3D ride, 3Dvision, mirror magic, Time Machine, Maritime center. Science city is located at the crossing of EASTERN METROPOLITAN BYPASS and J.B.S. HALDANE AVENUE, KOLKATA. The entry fee is 50rs/person.  

5.       NICCO PARK – it is famous for ultimate fun rides and water theme park (WETO WILD). NICCO PARK has rides which will surely cheer your mood, costs do not hamper the fun. Nicco park also gives refreshment and meal facility so that hunger don’t come between you and your good time. It is an amusement park which also has water theme park inside it. WETO WILD has water rides, artificial sea shore, rain dance and much more. It is assured that public will get tired of exploring this fun fiesta but the place continues to give surprises and fun. It is located in Salt Lake city, sector IV, JHEEL MEEL, KOLKATA. 

6.       FUNWORLD of KOLKATA - I took this subject to write under trip to Kolkata because Kolkata has much more than you read about it. Even roads of KOLKATA have story of history and mythology. The latest KOLKATA very much focuses on artificial fun worlds other than NICCO PARK and SCIENCE CITY. They are AQUATICA (a water theme amusement park), ECOPARK (nature’s park), WAX MUSEUM and SNOW CITY (artificial snow theme area with rides).

A Sweet trip To Gangtok

When people plan easy, comparatively cheap and best snowy hill station for fresh vacation, then one must surely think take a chance to visit gangtok located in north India. Bengal people find this hill station very easy to reach and spend their vacation. Gangtok is the capital municipality city of Sikkim. The Himalayan range has surrounded GANGTOK. This place is a blend of nature, worship, history and white beauty, i.e., snow. GANGTOK has beautiful waterfalls, beautiful helipads from where mountains give a sparkling view. It also has beautiful buddha monasteries which creates a religious ambience in and around and make the place fresh. GANGTOK is the cleanest hill station among all hill stations and is also safest among them. GANGTOK is a municipality of SIKKIM but is maintained like a city.
There are many famous tourist places in and around GANGTOK which can make your trip beautiful, with that you can also enjoy shopping. some tourist spots of GANGTOK are -

NATHULA PASS - it is an Indo-China border near GANGTOK, full of snow. The temperature of this place is very low than the temperature of GANGTOK. It is nearly 53km from GANGTOK. NATHULA pass has a beauty of snow throughout the year. One can plan their vacation near a country border. The NATHULA Pass is a part of Himalayan range. One can plan a trip to NATHULA pass by pre-booking a tracker which has already taken permission for NATHULA pass. Only limited number of people can only visit NATHULA pass in a day. And only limited vehicles are allowed in a day.
CHANGU Lake - I am sure you must have seen a water body near or in a foothill.  CHANGU lake has the same scene which you once dreamed about. It is also known as TSOMGO lake. CHANGU lake has heavenly beauty located 40kms away from GANGTOK, the main city. The beauty can be defined as a blue transparent waterbody at the foothill of snowy mountain. Near this lake you can experience yaks ride and some local markets for shopping and can refresh yourself with food. This lake can be visited by booking a tracker from the city. They has a service to pick you for the destination and safely drop you and help you to return back in the city.
MG MARG - It is the heart of town. MG Marg is basically a shopping paradise. It is in the main city. The glittering and livelihood of this place will charm you and attract you. The place has a PARIS essence in it, so this place is said to be mini foreign. The roads are covered with benches, fountains, lightnings where people can sit and relax their mind. The place has a sparkling beauty of its own. Shopping centers, open malls, long tiles road and a beautiful cold breeze makes the place heaven on earth. MG MARG is covered with shops, cafe, bars, restaurants on both sides of road.
CABLE CAR AT DEORALI market - GANGTOK’S beauty without a ropeway visit is not interesting. The nature, beauty of hills and GANGTOK beauty from ropeway can be taken at a glance. DEORALI market is a place in the main city which has cable car station, you just need to pay 50rs for the ticket and you can easily take the pleasure of mountains with the city. The ropeway is 1km long and three points, the lowest point is DEORALI market whereas highest point is TASHILING and middle point is NAM-NANG. The journey starts from a ropeway station taking you through valleys, experiencing the heights, and GANGTOK is under you.

Best Adventure Sports In India

Sports is in our blood, it may happen that we belong from different place but when it comes to sports no one sees who is from where it's just the feeling that I want to enjoy & enjoy a lot really. With the advancement of technology, we all have come to listen a new term - adventure sports. So, what is adventure sports, what are different adventure sports and which is the best in terms of both security and enjoyment. Let's discuss all these points one by one. We will also discuss which is the best place in India for all these sports events.

The first adventure sports which I personally tried was bungee jumping and believe me guys it was one of the most horrifying and enjoyable moment of my life. Standing at a height of 80 meters and jumping, my God it's really horrifying, but it's sports you are there to enjoy so for once in a lifetime it's a good experience. If I talk about the overall experience, in my opinion paying so much money for just enjoying five minutes, I don't think it's a good deal but yes you should definitely try it once in your life but doing it again and again I don't think it's worth of paying so much.

 The next one is paragliding, I have done it once in macleodganj and it was one of the best experience of my life. Standing on the top of a hill and then flying like a bird, it really gives you feeling that you are independent and flying like an eagle. Paragliding is one the best adventure sports and you can enjoy it at various places in India, but in my opinion, it is best when you do it at a hilly place so that you can enjoy the view of nature and the white snow covering the mighty mountains.

The next one is my favourite and I even don't remember that how many times in my life I have done that. "River rafting" the most safe, affordable and the best adventure sports of all. When I was doing it first time I was really scared but after five minutes it was like thank you God that I didn't missed this experience. In short, I can say that rafting is four hours of entertainment at a movie price with so much fun that you can't even imagine.

So, if you ask me personally I will say river rafting is the best adventure sports if you're going with a group of at least six people and if you want to enjoy solo and really wants to get some thrill on your life than believe me go for bungee jumping, you will get an experience that you will remember for your whole life.

Guys if you are looking for place to go for adventure sports, close your eyes and go to Rishikesh. Believe me you can't go to a better place then Rishikesh in India for adventure sports. There are many more sports activities which you can enjoy there and there are many good temples you can visit. So, guys you have got only one life enjoy every second of it, and believe me Rishikesh is a place where you can enjoy every second of your tour.
